wedding dress
if you could love me as a wife
and for my wedding gift, your life
should that be all i’ll ever need
or is there more i’m looking for
and should i read between the lines
and look for blessings in disguise
to make me handsome, rich, and wise
is that really what you want
(chorus)
i am a whore i do confess
but i put you on just like a wedding dress
and i run down the aisle
i’m a prodigal with no way home
but i put you on just like a ring of gold
and i run down the aisle to you
so could you love this bastard child
though i don’t trust you to provide
with one hand in a pot of gold
and with the other in your side
i am so easily satisfied
by the call of lovers less wild
that i would take a little cash
over your very flesh and blood
(chorus)
because money cannot buy
a husband’s jealous eye
when you have knowingly deceived his wife

wow. i've never heard a christian song quite as forward and painfully honest as this one. never even mentions God or Jesus or whatever christianese goes into "christian contemporary music", whatever that is... wow.

That's a Christian song? Hehe, "christianese" :P There's some interesting songs I was talking to Rebecca about today that apparently are Christian, but I thought they were secular too. There's the "I need you like water
Like breath, like rain" that's apparently Christian, unless they put it in the Christian station on Yahoo!'s radio thingy by mistake. And there's this other song... I forgot what it was, ask Rebecca a.k.a. stick#2 :P, she might remember, I'm too old, bad memory :( but it doesn't sound Christian either, well it DOES SOUND Christian, the music :P, but the lyrics, they don't mention God or Jesus...But for some reason I think it's Christian. I might have heard it from your church, but Rebecca says no... maybe I heard it at that Christian play "The Mark Project".... well it was playing off the "Love Songs" and NOT the Christian station I also listen too on Yahoo! (Launch Cast) Radio...
Argh, Explorer crashed when I was originally typing this, typing it in notepad just in case this time. Explorer has been crashing a lot lately, I hope I don't have a virus, but don't worry I can't give it to you by posting comments on your blog :P Hehe, finally updated your blog eh? ;) I feel bad I'm still in the middle of typing my latest entry. Well, since I started it mentioning how it's sad it's my last week at CCF, I'm like starting to type the whole story of me being at CCF from day one. Oy... the dreaded exams are comming soon... see ya at the Eeds game maybe...
